Is this only for Marines?
No. Tun Tavern is open to all men who want to follow Jesus and grow in brotherhood—veterans, civilians, first‑timers, and lifelong believers alike.
What is a cadre?
A cadre is a small group men who meet weekly to open Scripture, speak truth in love, and take real next steps together. Every man has a battle buddy for mid-week check-ins. It’s brotherhood designed for growth, not just talk.
How big is a cadre?
Cadres can range is size, but are typically small on purpose so relationships—and accountability—stick.
What happens in a cadre each week?
A simple 60–90 minute rhythm: we look back with gratitude and loving accountability, prepare our hearts in prayer, open the Word for honest discussion, apply & commit one practical step, and pray & commission each other—then stay connected with battle-buddy check-ins during the week.
How do I join a cadre?
Fill out the short Request Placement form and we’ll match you to a nearby cadre based on location and schedule. A leader will contact you within 24–48 hours to set your first meeting. No experience required and no cost. If there isn’t a cadre near you, we’ll help you start one or begin with a Battle Buddy.
Does it cost to join?
There’s no fee to join. Some studies or events may have optional costs (we’ll tell you in advance).
Do I have to share my story right away?
Start at your pace. Trust grows week by week. You’ll never be pressured—honesty and courage come with time and brotherly care.
Do I need to be a Bible expert?
No. Come as you are. We’ll open Scripture together and apply it to real life.
